so. we played a school tonight.
yeh i know. but, wait. it was rather great!!
we were asked to be the special guests at a school music show, there were 11 youth acts on, then we played in the second half. it was a favour for the head of music who taught both ricky and tobias when they were at school. a long time ago.
i was rather nervous about it, we werent sure how our tunes would go down, buttttt
it was amazing, terrific response from everyone there, people getting right in to the tunes, dancing along, making a fair bit of noise.
maybe we should just play schools??? ;)
bring on sat’s gig at the flapper now!!!

5 days. 4 gigs. not a big tour. not even a small tour really. just a cluster of shows. a handful of performances. but they were ours.

liverpool. amazing. great venue. loved meeting you all. sound guy made us sound good. job done. we will be back.
newcastle. well. north shields. all went a little bit tits over heels. but still. great crowd. lot of old faces. not old old. just not seen you in a long long time. people loved it despite the broken pa. bit humbling really. we will be back.
birmingham. the lovely rainbow once again. full house. what can i say. you. yes you. were amazing. thanks for coming. we though it would be a poor turn out as a lot of our regular birmingham crowd were at weddings. parties. away. home for the summer. seems some new people like us and decided to turn up. we will be back
london. well. always hard work in the capitol. but in the good way not the bad way. good crowd again. rolled out and rolled in. clapped and whistled. laughed at my jokes and looked thoughtful at the thoughtful moments. coudn’t have scripted it better. well, not without dancing midgets and a wild pony any way. we will be back.

EP’s have been selling well. lots of folks have been coming to gigs/messaging us asking about upcoming gigs. which is very humbling. thanks.
new songs are coming together rather wonderfully. 2 pretty much there for the next EP i think(we go back in the studio in august) come and hear them at our next gig near you maybe.
saw maximo park last night. amazing show. love that band. stricken city opened. interesting voice. go see them. the girl dances crazy. in a good way.
ive just realised. ive blogged this like a lot of twitters stuck together.

once again i loved it. L.O.V.E.D. it.

rolled out a new tune(no love lost) went down a storm. hopefully in a good way. people may have been chanting “off off off” but i dont think they were. were they? no. maybe? nah.
nice short set, half an hour, shifted a load more CDs too. only got a few left of the latest EP, so if you want one in hard copy order one from the website now.
the tracks will be officially up on itunes next week, and we have been getting some radio play from various local staitons round the country.
